Wood is naturally anti-bacterial. However, if you feel the need to wash the toy:
• wash gently and quickly with soap and lukewarm water. Avoid soaking.
• let it dry completely.
• lightly sand with fine sandpaper unpainted areas.
• refinished with any food-safe oil

This item is so small, certainly not worth the money, very disappointed. Colour is also not even looks half done.... I would say buyers ask size of item before purchase. probably why they don't have any mention of size on listing.
